Hi there,
I hope that you're thawing out nicely as the weather slowly creeps up.
It's always a celebration for me when it hits 20 degrees for the first time, which could be this weekend fingers crossed, perfect weather for getting those strawberries planted and summer greens in the ground.

I've been looking into genetically modified foods lately and how they play a part in the grand scheme of our lives, our health and the planets sustainability.
I was curious to find out how I could avoid GE foods and what I can do to stem there ever increasing presence in our food system.
To start with I contacted the head offices of all the major supermarket chains in Australia to find out their position on selling genetically modified foods and how I can identify them in my shopping basket.
If your interested to know what they said and for more info on avoiding GE foods, go to the blog section on the site or just click on the following link www.eatingwelldaily.com.au

No, this is not a new adjective to describe an unfavourable situation! It is infact a remarkable aboriginal superfood more commonly known as Kakadu Plum, which contains the highest natural source of vitamin C on the planet.
n studies the Kakadu Plum has shown to have antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties and assists with inflammatory conditions, cancer prevention and anti-bronchodilatory activities.
I'm a firm believer of consuming foods to meet nutirtional requirements where possible, as opposed to there synthetically manufactured counterparts and this is a perfect example of a wildcrafted food that also has potent healing capabilities.
I highly recommend you check out this product and as with all things if it feels right to give it a try, then go for it. You can contact a great local company called Loving Earth for more details. www.lovingearth.com.au
Gubinge is being harvested by the Nyul Nyul people of the Kimberleys in Western Australia.
All profits that Loving Earth receive from the sale of this product, will be sent back to the Nyul Nyul community to assist in creating opportunities for indigenous communities to regenerate areas of land for it's production.
I just have to share this monumental discovery with you! Yes, I have been known to get a bit over excited by food but hey, it's great to still feel the passion.
I've been staring at all the kurly Kale and leafy greens growing like crazy in the garden with all this rain and wondering what to do with it all. Then I came accross this tip and now I just can't get enough of the stuff.
Basically wash and spin dry a bunch of kale, toss in a little sea salt and olive oil, spread out on a baking tray and bake in a warm oven (around 180 degrees) for about 15-20 minutes until crisp.
Utterly delicious and perfect for those potato chip craving moments, children love them too.
